It'll be coming, there's just some weird thing that the PlayStation Network has done with PS5 trophies.

  • PS4 trophies earned on the PS5 will appear as earned on the PS4 and PS5.

  • PS5 trophies earned will only appear on the PS5, and not on the PS4.


    • The way PlayStation trophies are scanned may need to be changed to allow the pick up of PS5 achievements. Probably not a quick fix, but something that primal will no doubt look into.

    Yeah, the following is part of the query used to get the trophies:


    &platform=PS3,PSVITA,PS4




    Now one would think that adding PS5 to that list would make things work, but it doesn't.

    It could be that it requires a completely different api/method, or it could be that one just need to figure out what the platform is called in the call.

    It's interesting - just had a look at the official PlayStation trophies page, and none of the PS5 games show up there. Link

    PSNProfiles is tracking them, so there must be some sort of way. Just seems so odd that the official source isn't working at the moment! Link

    It might be possible by using a different endpoint than the one I'm currently using... I will look into it after a while if things don't sort themselves.

    Hi, I do not know the progress on this feature - if there has been any improvements/clarifications to the API for collecting these achievements to begin with.

    However, to help us better know what needs to be supported, requests of supporting new gaming platforms should not be in the general forum, but in the Potential Platform forum. There, we have a much better overview of potential platforms AND we check each and every new reply/post there, while I personally, rarely read here in the General forums, hence why I didn't know this was not yet supported...

    So, just create a post there in the meanwhile, and I'll check on what the progress on PS5 trophies are currently. Also, we will give updates in that forum post as well, so You won't need to stop by to check if anything has happened ^^

    My ps5 trophies do not show, even though everything else on the psn shows fine.

    Do I have to do something special? I even tried to manually scan the ps5 games I have but nothing is showing up.

    I took a look at your profile, and it says temporary problem. We recently reworked the PSN, and we've seen reports of PS games not scanning.

    primal_r is looking to find out why some users cannot scan their games, and if it's a problem on their end or if it's a site-wide issue as a unintentional result from the PSN-scan rework.

    One possibility is that the username you added is incorrect (it could be case sensitive).

    It can also be an issue with your privacy settings on PlayStation, as someone pointed out. You can read what that user did to fix it.

    But if that does not work, let us know and we will investigate it further.

    I double-checked the privacy setting for trophies and game activity, it is set to 'anyone'.

    I have had the same capitalization on the name since 2013 when I joined this site, do you think I should try to change it from xephros to Xephros now? If I do, it shouldn't give me any problems right?

    Else I do not know what I can do from my side

    Hi!

    I can see that it says temporary problem still. So, if it has worked in the past, I wouldn't recommend it. I am not sure that would make you lose old removed achievements that we have tracked on MGS.

    Just to double-check, did you try what that user suggested specifically?

    That is what I would suggest doing if anything, otherwise I will check if we can see internally what that "temporary problem" really is. Unfortunately I cannot do that myself.

    Let us know if you try it out and we will check if something happens. In the meanwhile, I will ask if I can know why it says temporary problem to further narrow down the potential issue.

    I changed the capitalization yesterday from xephros to Xephros, it seems to have fixed it. I had it with the small x for years but I guess some changes made it case sensitive?
