Topic: What do you do when you burn out?

Recently I've found myself not wanting to go for Trophies and/or achievements as much as I used to - a main cause being the absolute hell on earth that trying to do Heroes on Villains in BF2 is for the platinum which ended up with me quitting completely and selling the game as I didn't feel it was worth my time or rage towards the spawn engine.

I want to get back into my backlog but honestly can't think of any way to do it without going back and playing multiplayer with friends aimlessly so... how do I un-burn out and what do you guys do when you also burn out if you ever have?

Good question, and I'd definitely be interested in what other people have to say on the subject too.

I'm guessing burnout is different for everyone, but sometimes you just need to step away from a game/games for a while and do something else. Take your mind off things, and eventually you might get that urge to go back to earning achievements.

Don't think there's a simple solution for this one, but taking a break is all I could suggest. Been there a few times!

There are a gazillion games out there, so there are plenty of FUN games to play that has achievements. So don't dwell too long on the boring ones. If you feel you've gotten tired of a game, set a time-limit for completionism --- if you think it is probable you'll get the last achievements within 5 play-hours or something; go for it. Other than that- it's not worth grinding the games that isn't fun when there are others, more fun to go around -- so it's better to just bail early.

Alternatively, if the achievement is an online/multiplayer one, just hold out until the servers shut down, and we can mark it as unobtainable (giving you 100%) :)
