What if your total score could be placed to a percentage similar to how many game platforms show its rarity? Sometimes it can be a bit disheartening to see yourself fall over time unless you're getting a lot of chievies. For someone who has a bit of addiction to them (and I assume quite a few here as well) it can be both a good motivator to keep playing but it has its downside. Gaming can be an unhealthy thing, too. It could give people that care a little too much about these things some piece of mind knowing You have a permanent good spot. The total amount of active gamers are ever increasing so it helps that kind of rank. I see achievement as a retirement thing as well. It's proof of your actions and achievements and not just a memory. Speaking of retirement it would make it easier to do just that if you ever want go give gaming a break |

Say that you're in the top 10% of achievements score on this site and you stop playing. Your global score will still slowly trickle down because there's a few people that overtake you over time. You will still be in the 10% because of new users which very likely will be below the top 10% |
