I'm making this thread to once again call attention to the large number of unmarked unobtainable achievements in Guild Wars 2. I've psoted about it before, at whihc point a large number of achievements were then marked unobtainable, but there are still a very large number unmarked, many of which have been added to the game since the previous purge. To recap, many of these unobtainable achievements are the result of Dailies, Weeklies, and infinitely repeatable achievements which are shared by the game's achievement API, but can never actually be marked as "obtained." I just finished going through and adding comments to a large number of the unmarked achievements, starting from the 1st page of the game's achievements by value high-low. As many achievements in GW2 are tiered (with each tier being tracked as a separate achievement, marked by a "(Level #)" after the achievement name), I saved some time for myself by only commenting on the first tier to come up, usually the highest. |

Hi SirSuperCaide. I have just finished marking all the achievements, you commented/mentioned, around 300 total (including like 100 of the Character Adventure Guide repeatables). Thanks for your contribution! Also thanks for making this clear (with tiers, symbols etc.) as I don't have this game myself and would otherwise be too unsure to mark them all. I left the highest Season, the Thirty-Five, as available. Is this still on-going (as users have got those achievements recently)? Also, are the remaining Daily achievements, by your point, unoptainable as well? Everything worth 2481-2483 points (i.e. no completions) beginning with "Daily" |

Yes, 35 is the current PvP League season and those achievements are still obtainable. The season will end on February 13th, according to this wiki page: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/PvP_League I did not spend the time to go through them all, but yes, almost every achievement starting with the word "Daily" or "Weekly" is likely unobtainable. In the rare case of a false positive, it would likely be easier to find and unmark the obtainable achievement. Thanks for the swift work! |
