I've noticed within the past few weeks the devs haven't been active on the forums answering questions etc.. and was wondering if MetaGamerScore is, well, dying... I think we all know that the site has been slowly declining as of recently and I'm worried because theres no other sites as good as this one. | |

Site is not dying, it's just moving slow. I develop Metagamerscore on my spare time ( I have a day-time job which actually pays my bills), and it varies how high percentage of that spare time I am willing to spend on the site. As a human, I also enjoy other things; like playing games, watching movies, and spending time with my kid and/or wife. The time I do spend on the site tend to end up in primarily maintenance tasks, such as repairing the psn tracker or updating to the latest versions of libraries for better security coverage. And all the moderators, who also are not payed for the job they do, was busy with other commitments. Since your post, I did identify and invite another moderator to strengthen things up on that end though, so at least most of the urgent moderation backlog has been caught up by the diligent Magnus77. On the development side, the pledges made through Patreon really does make a difference. When people pledge; because they think the site is worth a tiny bit of their money, it influences how motivated I get about spending my time improving the site. And just the other day, a developer reached out and asked if there was anything they could chip in with. We'll see how that pans out, but before we've had f.ex. Chrimle writing support for several new platforms. We've also historically had a few cases with developers offering to help, where I have spent the time preparing some material so help could be gotten, but then it leading to nothing - resulting in a net negative return on invested time. The other thing is that the bigger the site has gotten, the slower it becomes to make improvements to it. This is more or less true for every software development project. Anyway.. Don't expect any massive miracles, but expect the site to slowly continue to improve. |

I would say the forums are dead, since you don't get responces often lol |
