Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core only displays 8 Achievements, but there are actually 238 LOL

BTW: When can we expect to see Hardcore Achievements count on MGS?

Hi, thank you for your bug report!

I had a look and after a quick scan, the achievement count is now fixed.

Regarding the hardcore versions, we have discussed this briefly, but it is complicated. Don't quote me on this, but I think the first issue was that it was very difficult to distinguish between hardcore and softcore achievements. Then there is the problem of duplicating each achievement for the two versions. This will lead to either; two separate game pages, one for each difficulty, which may be tricky to scan properly. The second is to merge all the achievements into one game page, but that will result in you needing to get all achievements in both SC and HC to 100% the game on MGS.

I can certainly forward this request, looking at Trello, this issue has been put to the side for some time now. Perhaps it is time to have another look at it.

Thank you for your suggestion!

That would be awesome. To be fair, playing on softcore is like "cheating" so actually it wouldn't be that bad if only playing on hardcore grants you full 100% here on MGS.

Thank you.

Wait, really?! ;)

I am not at all familiar with retro achievements, how so?

Simple: You can use "Savestates" or "Rewind" so if something doesn't goes the way you want to, you rewind or load the save from the spot of your choice and do it again.

That is basically cheating, you're not allowed to do that on hardcore mode, so you have to play it as the game is/was on the original console which makes achievements brutally difficult and time wasting.

haha, I see!

Even though I do play hardcore or ironman mode in some games, I wouldn't call not playing that cheating ;)

But I certainly see your point in having them counted - those will be truly worth bragging about!

So if a game, for example, would have a "Beat the game with no death" Achievement and someone dies after 20 hours of gaming just right at last final fight of the game, but simply rewinds to the seconds before his death, beats the game and gets the achievement, while the other player has to play again 20 hours to get through the game, you wouldn't call that cheating?? :D
